Reclining Naked exhibition 2020 Floral Candy. A collaborative exhibition by Grace A Hughes and Lars M Holmgren.

Proceeds of sales will include donations to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.

Showcasing a play upon the duality of 'light and shade’ exploring it literally and figuratively as 'wisdom and denial'.

Grace and Lars return with their second combined show Reclining Naked 2020 - Floral Candy, at The Shop Gallery this February.

Grace will be exhibiting a mixed media body of work celebrating floral form via abstracted sketches, paintings and photographic depictions.

Her new series is a breakaway from the more conceptually biased works of deconstructed typography on canvas which was at the time a means of emotional catharsis from subversive and overt bullying i.e. not letting the haters get her down. With this show she continues to utilise her graphic design and visual art expertise, deconstructing flowers joyously.

Lars offers 2 large scale photo-montage series tapping into the 'shadow' aspect of our digital era paradigm. The series are entitles 'Cyber Candy' and 'Hooks, Digital Era Paradigm'. The work represents a tongue in cheek poke at the addictive makeup of social media and other aspects of this era. Like moths to a flame we take refuge in our digital era paradigm. The ecstatic dance macabre of stereotypes cross-bred with the dogma of stale old archetypes as the destroyer consumes the creator and the creator exhumes the destroyer in an orgy of so-much-spam.

There will also be a projected motion component to their show.
