Encuentro de Mujeres: Meetup for Spanish speaking women

This year the Australian Ecuadorian Cultural Association and the Ecuadorian Embassy of Australia invite Spanish speaking women from all walks of life to participate in our International Women’s event: Encuentro de Mujeres.

Encuentro de Mujeres is about empowering Spanish speaking women by creating lasting connections between women. We aim to create a space where women can meet, build relationships, exchange information and support each other – in their language.

The event will provide access to services and information related to supporting culturally and linguistically diverse women address their needs in the areas of personal wellbeing, personal safety, cultural leadership, professional development and working together to create and maintain community and local change.

Spanish speaking women professionals and cultural leaders from the community will deliver short seminars and workshops while also sharing their own life experiences and stories of overcoming the challenges of being a migrant woman, a mother, a daughter of migrants, and living between different cultures and languages within Australian society.
