Do you have trouble saying no to some people in your life? Do you feel bad, guilty, and or anxious when you do have a difficult conversation? Do you find it hard to express your feelings to others and ask for what you want?
If yes, this class is for you!
Emotional awareness and assertiveness communication skills can strengthen your relationships, including your relationship with yourself, reduce stress from conflict and provide you with the ability to cope with your feelings and handle difficult conversations and situations.
This is an ongoing regular weekly class. In each class, we will engage in role-playing exercises to learn how to express our wants and feelings to others in healthy ways. The role-play exercises revolve around real-life situations. This will help you greatly in putting assertiveness into actual practice.
Class suitable for all levels. You can attend weekly or just one-off.
The class will be led by Bishop Laryea. He has a BA in Social Work/Social Policy from the University of Sydney. Bishop has many years of experience teaching assertiveness skills and group facilitation and training sessions. He is the Executive Director of a registered international Charity called African Youth Initiative Centres and he also works for the City of Sydney Council engaging in community service work.
