This event is a part of e-Galaxy an installation exhibition by Suzon Fuks which runs from 6 - 26 March, 2026 at Stanley Street Gallery. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited.

Suzon offers an active reflection on the production process of electronic devices, planned obsolescence, disparity of goods, sustainability, and recycling. Every component in devices has minerals that have taken millions of years to form that have been mined. 3 in 10 people globally do not have electricity, many of them work in those mines.

No experience is necessary. You will be guided step by step and Suzon will give you plenty of tips and tricks!

Suitable for adults and kids (minimum 8 years old). An adult must accompany any attending kids and must pay for a separate ticket.

Cost: $50

Knowledge required: Beginner-friendly. Any age from 8+

What you’ll do

Safely dismantle electronic devices and make amazing art with the components inside. This relaxing beginner-friendly workshop will transform and reveal the hidden world of intricate circuitry that powers our daily lives and inspire you to think about the impact of technology.

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn:

  • how to dismantle safely old electronic devices

  • some facts about our electronic devices

Create your own sculpture/artist book to take home on the day!

What you’ll get:

  • an amazing art piece :)

Provided:

  • Tools and materials

  • Cleaned old electronic devices

  • Gloves and safety glasses supplied

  • Light refreshments

What to bring:

  • If allergic, feel free to bring your own gloves and refreshments

  • If you want, you can bring your own old or broken laptop, DVD or CD player, keyboard etc.
