Bookings open 6 June 2018.
Join us for this fun and intensive full-day youth workshop, where you’ll learn to paint realistic and dynamic self-portraits.
Our experienced tutor will teach you a range of formal and experimental techniques and introduce you to working with a selection of acrylic mediums. We will learn about facial proportion and anatomy while experimenting with unconventional materials such as wax resist, ink and salt, on professional watercolour paper.
We begin the day by learning about facial proportion and anatomy, to help you plan and create accurate drawings. You’ll go on to learn basic colour theory, and have fun experimenting with unconventional materials.
You’ll even use secret alchemical techniques to create ethereal textures and effects, to help you capture your own unique personality through colour, line and texture.
At the end of the day you’ll have learned exciting new skills to take home along with your paintings.
