Our music drop-in sessions offer a chance to enjoy the library’s musical instrument collection in a fun and friendly group setting. Bring an instrument of your own or we have acoustic and electric guitars, an electric bass, a baby grand piano and synths ready for you to sample.

The drop-in sessions will be informal, collaborative, and most of all fun! Our host, Gilmar, will guide warm up exercises and get you inspired to explore your creativity.

No booking is required.

Covid-safe information

  • The health and safety of everyone at City of Sydney venues is our top priority. If you plan to visit, you must be familiar with the procedures in place and follow Covid-safe rules during your visit. See our website for the most up-to-date entry requirements and what to expect when visiting.

  • The organisers will supply hand-sanitisers and PPE equipment and we highly recommend attendees make use of these between using different instruments. Bringing your own instrument is encouraged.
