Dingo Gringo plays the Street Food Markets

Up-beat didjeridu and electro duo meld sounds from Gondwanaland to South America

Catch the amazing duo Dingo Gringo – a didjeridu and electro cross-breed of a sound by Charlie McMahon and Peter Strong.

Charlie fronted Gondwanaland, the seminal Aussie band that prefigured the world music and Indigenous cultural revival by a decade, while Peter cut his name in the dance-music, free-party rave scenes of the ’90s.

Dingo Gringo’s name evokes the global-electro Cumbia and up-vibe feel of much of their music.

Enjoy their unique sound and feel at no charge, along with dishes and drinks from all over the world from our Street Food Markets traders. The Markets are a platform for emerging enterprises run by stallholders from migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds, and sharing diverse and vibrant live music.

Held on the Gumbramorra Hall Green, the markets also feature free live music in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The Addison Road Street Food Markets run from 4pm to 9pm on the first and third Saturday of every month.
