Australia’s desert centre can appear an inhospitable environment. The quality of light can be glaring and harsh, and the terrain rugged and unforgiving. But it’s from this seemingly unpromising place that an explosion of colour and creativity has been springing for decades.
The colour of sunrise, sunset, sandhills, low lying scrub, the changing seasons, flora and fauna—all constant sources of inspiration for Indigenous artists painting their ancestral stories on to canvas.
View masterpieces by leading artists Nancy Nungurrayi, Kudditji Kngwarreye, Polly Kngale, Walala Tjapaltjarri, Tjawina Porter Nampitjinpa and many others, as well as promising rising and affordable talent.
The exhibition is proudly presented by Honey Ant Gallery, Aboriginal art specialists since 2005.
