Explore the Hyde Park Barracks, Museum of Sydney and Justice & Police Museum during Culture Up Late with extended evening opening hours from 5-8pm every Thursday evening and FREE entry.
Discover the stories of the Hyde Park Barracks through a self-guided immersive experience that will feel like stepping back in time.
Using our groundbreaking interactive audio technology, you’ll follow in the footsteps of real people whose lives were touched by this place – male convicts, immigrants and women in need, as well as the Aboriginal nations that were impacted by colonial Australia.
Sydney Living Museums are joining other major arts and cultural institutions for Culture Up Late, a NSW Government initiative aimed at revitalizing Sydney’s cultural life.
Culture Up Late at the Hyde Park Barracks will run from Thursday 14 January 2021 until 25 March 2021. Excludes 11 March when the After Dark program will be held.
This initiative is part of the Summer in the City program proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with the City of Sydney. We’re working together to revitalise the city centre.
All Sydney Living Museums properties observe physical distancing and hygiene measures to protect the health of visitors and staff and minimise the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Please read our COVID-19 Conditions of Entry for more information.
