Create a Giant Peach mobile: Stanmore Library

Roald Dahl Month at Marrickville Library branches

“Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”

He invented his own language (Gobblefunk), authored some of the most well-known children’s books in history, and in turn became one of the world’s most treasured writers. This month, we celebrate a century of Roald Dahl, as he turns 100 on September 13. So join us kiddles for some phizz-whizzing events that will be whoopsy-wiffling!

What do you do when you’re in a Giant Peach in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by sharks who are eyeing you off? Build a way out of course! Grasshopper, spider, centipede, earthworm, silkworm and glow worm are all on hand to save the day, as attendees of this very fruity craft activity create a mobile (with the help of some squawking seagulls).

For 5+ year olds. Adult supervision is required for those aged 10 years and under.

Additional dates include:
Dulwich Hill, Friday 30 September, 2pm-3pm
Marrickville Library, Friday 7 October, 11am-12pm
St Peters/Sydenham Library, Wednesday 5 October, 2pm-3pm

Tuesday 27 September 2016 from 2pm to 3pm
