The problems facing our world today are plentiful. How do we make sense of it all?
A changing climate, refugees, poverty and terrorism are but some of the issues we are grappling with.
In pursuit of a greater truth, and to seek clarity in my surroundings and the wider world I have ventured into a universe shaped by lineal planes and colour theory. These works are stripped-back interpretations of my environment; which I describe as ‘reduced’ interpretations of our world. But, by no means, are they lacking in complexity or depth.
Harking to the aesthetics of modernist philosophy, art and design, I thoughtfully craft a map of composite colours to visually describe the way that we navigate the conceptual and physical spaces that occupy our contemporary reality.
Opening night: Thursday 27 June, 6pm.
