Saturday 31 January from 6:30pm to 9pm
The Art Gallery Society of New South Wales’ 2026 concert series starts with a bang as the Dan Barnett Big Band joins forces with the legendary crooner Denny Ilett (UK), for a swinging tribute to the greatest songsmith of all time – Frank Sinatra.
Together, Barnett and Ilett have thrilled audiences around the globe. Ilett’s vocal style captures Sinatra’s smooth, charismatic essence while adding his own modern flair, and when paired with Barnett’s powerful voice, irresistible swing, and the unmistakable drive of The Dan Barnett Big Band, the result is a fresh, vibrant take on the timelessness of ‘Ol’ Blue Eyes’.
Barnett and Ilett have shared stages at major festivals across Europe, however this concert marks the first time they come together specifically to honour Sinatra’s legacy. A rare and unforgettable musical event – book early to avoid disappointment; this one is sure to sell out.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Until 7.30pm, you are welcome to buy light refreshments from the Members Lounge and pop-up bar.
Guests will also enjoy a private exhibition viewing of Dangerously Modern: Australian Women Artists in Europe 1890–1940 making it a wonderful evening of music and art.
