Community silent disco

Fun, supportive and free music and dance experience for people to connect through their memory of music!

We have designed our Moove & Groove Listen & Active programs for people living with dementia, with headphone technology to recreate a ‘silent disco’ experience.

Silent disco means that everyone wears a pair of headphones adjusted to individual hearing needs. Everyone in the class can hear the shared playlist that includes popular songs from the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, with the instructor’s voice heard clearly, to encourage everyone to join in and have fun!

Our free short 30-minute silent disco dance classes are low intensity and accessible for everyone. The classes provide a social and supportive space for caregivers and loved ones living with dementia to let loose a little, relax and enjoy music from their past.

We have worked with dementia consultants to provide a world class, and world first program. Our instructors are trained in dementia care to ensure they meet the varied needs of participants.

Moove & Groove Silent Disco is an established program in aged-care facilities across Australia and in the UK. We’re now expanding to reach caregivers and people with dementia living in the community who are looking for a fun Tuesday activity to spend together!

Classes are welcome to newcomers, suitable for all stages of dementia, and formal or informal caregiver relations.

Parking available onsite with accessibility parking and a beautiful Café out the front for morning tea.

So why not make a morning of it and book your spot now!

Come and join us each Tuesday for a supportive and fun experience with your loved one!
