Javascript workshop

Who are we?
NodeGirls is an Australia wide program teaching women to code!
Workshops range from beginner to more advanced and are open to all women, trans and non-binary folks aged 16+.

We are a group passionate about educating and getting women excited about technology. This event is also good for those who want to grow their network and meet new people with similar interests.

In August our topic will be Sports and our invited guest is Katelyn Bartlett – WFF Miss Universe pro sports model and WFF Miss Galaxy supermodel. She will tell us about her journey to success and will give us some tips on how to stay fit while sitting all the day 🙂

What to bring with you:

  • laptop (if you do not have a laptop please contact us and we will try to arrange something for you)
  • charger
  • desire to learn
  • good mood.

The format of the event is a self-guided coding with instructions and intro explanations and help of mentors when required. We will have 3 workshops:
– Introduction to JavaScript (complete beginners level) – self-guided
– Introduction to Vue.js (basic understanding of JavaScript and Node.js is required) – guided by William Wise
– Introduction to NodeBots (workshop with hardware – basic understanding of JavaScript and Node.js is required) – guided by Wilson Mendes
