CityTalks 2015: The Politics of Climate Change

The Politics of Climate Change – towards the Paris Climate Conference 2015

Produced by the City of Sydney

The time to act on climate change is now.

If global leaders commit to tough reduction measures at the Paris Climate Conference this December, we can make a difference for future generations.

Hear from Connie Hedegaard as she reignites a national conversation between Australia’s political leaders about climate change and Australia’s role. In her role as European Commissioner for Climate Action, Connie was instrumental in setting a global course for a low-carbon future.

You’ll also hear from our political leaders on Australia’s role at the Paris conference. Panelists include Mark Butler MP, Shadow Minister for the Environment, Larissa Waters, Australian Greens Deputy Co Leader and Senator for Queensland and Dr John Hewson AM, former Leader of the Liberal Party.

Join us on Tuesday 25 August at Sydney Town Hall, 6.30pm to 8pm.

Tickets are free, but essential. Visit Ticketmaster to book.

This CityTalks event is supported by our official media partner, The Guardian, and by our event partner, the Institute for Sustainable Futures, University of Technology Sydney.
