City Farm working bee

Help build our insect pollinator habit

Sorry, this event has now booked out.

Pollinators are insects that move pollen among flowers, which helps form seeds and fruits. Native bees, butterflies, wasps, flies and beetles are all important pollinators that keep plants growing and green spaces healthy. These creatures prefer habitats with small holes and crevices that provide shelter and hiding places.

Learn about pollinators with native bee expert Dr Megan Halcroft and get hands-on helping us create our insect habitat feature.

We’ll use natural materials to create a sculptural piece with sheltered spaces for pollinators to lay eggs.

Includes a tour of Sydney City Farm and a light morning tea.
