Rediscover the lively streets of Chinatown and Haymarket on a walking tour of inspiring and imaginative artworks on display in our vibrant city.

Led by a local art aficionado, you’ll encounter incredible sculptures, installations, light works and murals, each of which tells a unique story.

City Art invites you on this free guided walking tour of art on display in the public domain, including works by local and international artists and new immersive laneway commissions, soon to be announced.

This tour will begin at the north side of the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park, accessible by train and bus. The tour will finish in Haymarket, within walking distance of local eateries and Central Station. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Access information: For people who use a wheelchair or a mobility aid, please be advised that this tour will go for approximately 1.5 hours. Much of this time will be spent walking between artworks in the in Chinatown and Haymarket, which includes moderately steep inclines.

Wet Weather: This tour is held outdoors and is therefore subject to weather conditions. It may be cancelled in the instance of heavy rain. Please bring wet weather gear in the instance of light rain.

  • Participants will need to check into the tour with a Service NSW QR code provided on the day

  • Participants are required to follow physical distancing guidelines on this tour

  • To ensure safe physical distancing, only those who have booked tickets will be allowed on the tour

  • If you have booked a ticket and you are unwell on the day of the tour, please do not attend, get tested and isolate, as required

  • Please check NSW Health for the latest information about wearing a face mask on public transport and during outdoor events. Your tour guide may provide you with a face mask and request you to wear it on this tour.
