Chris exhibits regularly at the Shop Gallery. His previous exhibitions have featured figurative work but his present show takes a different approach, initially abstract then developing the work according to what he sees in the abstract patterns. This has resulted in images which can suggest different things depending on the viewer’s imagination.
Although the works are in oils and acrylics the paint has been layered in transparent watercolour-like glazes to enrich the colours of the finished surface.
All the works are framed and in a smaller format than Chris’s earlier work. He has enjoyed this different approach to his work and hopes that viewers will also respond to the work.
Randomly Abstract is the name of this show and it runs from June the 9th to the 15th opening on the 10th from 5 to 8 pm.
Covid-19 Safe procedures operate at the gallery. We supply hand sanitiser, disinfect our surfaces and have limited numbers of people in the gallery at a time (depending on the current advice), applying social distancing.
