Cherry Blossom Festival 2019

World Square

Make it blossom at World Square this August with an interactive Cherry Blossom augmented reality experience!

Visitors to the shopping precinct can join the interactive big-screen experience. Download the World Square app to walk through the Torii Gate and see the centre explode into a Cherry Blossom spectacle through augmented reality.

Join us in the square every 15 minutes from 8am to 10pm daily to help the digital Cherry Blossom tree bloom by playing a series of AR games including a Taiko drumming circle, Calligraphy dancing or the Nara Park deer encounter.

Share your Cherry Blossom moment with #WSqCherryBlossom on Facebook or Instagram for your chance to win major weekly prizes, a $500 Coles voucher, a Medibank Prize Pack valued at $500 and a Samsung S9+ Phone.

Cultural activities will run through the last 2 weeks of the festival. Activities include traditional Japanese drumming, calligraphy performances, personalised origami and bonsai workshops, and traditional Yosaki Soran dancing.

Visitors can also test their paper-folding skills and contribute to the 1,000 cranes origami challenge, brew matcha flavoured tea with T2 or make their own sushi with Sushi Hub.

You can also unlock exclusive retailer offers and spend at any time throughout Cherry Blossom Festival for your chance to win daily prizes!

Why not head down to World Square and sample one or more of these specials:
