Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10am to 5pm Wednesday 20 May to Saturday 6 June

Represented artist Charlie Sheard, presents new works in his solo exhibition at MAY SPACE, Paintings on Paper. MAY SPACE is currently open by appointment to individuals and groups of up to 10 people. Viewable online 24/7.

“Painting is the original meditation, bodily and spiritual in nature. Self expression is unimportant; the artist’s job is to allow the work of art to have its own Being. Such art is about itself, it is not about the artist, but if the work of art fails to speak for itself, it is the artist who has failed. Abstraction is the most extreme form of painting, pure and like music. “Beauty is difficult” said Yeats.” - Charlie Sheard, 2020
