Ceramics: Intensive 10-13 years

Kids will have fun learning hand-building and wheel-throwing in this 2-day school holiday workshop

Produced by the City of Sydney

Bookings open 5 June 2019

In this 2-day school holiday workshop, kids will learn the fundamentals of hand-building and ceramic wheel-throwing.

Under the guidance of our experienced tutor, students will experiment with different hand-building techniques including slab, coil, and slurry joining using raku clay.

They’ll also get experience using the potter’s wheel to make simple cylindrical forms, bowls and plates.

This workshop is designed for complete beginners as well as kids with some experience who are looking to improve their skills and gain a solid foundation in hand-building and wheel-throwing.

Works will be fired and ready to collect approximately 4 weeks after the workshop.
