Bookings open 5 June 2019
Kids will create their own deep blue sea inspired hanging air plant holder in this half-day school holiday workshop.
They can choose almost any design for their ceramic holder from an octopus to a jelly fish or crustacean.
Our experienced tutor will teach the kids ceramics using slab hand-building techniques and how to create texture using pressing, rolling and stamping. They’ll also get experience working with colour clay inlay, slips and sgrafitto techniques to decorate their planters.
They’ll gain a good understanding of the properties and limits of clay and ideas and thoughts behind the creative process.
This workshop is designed for complete beginners. No prior experience necessary.
Works will be fired and ready to collect approximately 4 weeks after the workshop.
