After training as a teacher, Deborah Abela travelled to Africa where she was harassed by monkeys, caught in a desert sandstorm and thrown in jail - twice.
She has since become an internationally published and awarded author of 28 books including picture books, junior fiction and middle grade fiction. Deb has won awards for her work, but mostly she hopes to be as brave as her characters.
Her newest book, The Book of Wondrous Possibilities, is her love letter to books, booksellers and readers. Join our online discussion group to learn all about Deb’s life as an author, ask questions about the stories behind her writing and share your thoughts on all her favourite books!
