Sunday 6 February 2022 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm
Join us for the book launch of 'The Other Side of the Story: essays on Jews, Christians, Cults, Women, Atheists and Artists' by Dr Rachael Kohn. Through a lifetime of religious research, this book reflects on the persistence of antisemitism in new and virulent forms.
Since she first embarked on religious studies at university, Dr Rachael Kohn, AO, FRSN was drawn to the study of Jewish life, as well as its relationship to Christianity. Antisemitic movements have marked that history, but unusual collaborations and reversals have also had an impact, especially on biblical scholarship and interfaith relations.
The rise of cults from the 1970s, the feminist revolution in religion, the popularity of celebrity atheists, and the spiritual dimension of art have all played a role in Rachael’s research, writing, and broadcasting.
