Only 10% of the cells in our body are our own. The rest are microorganisms. Our body is a home for others. A house in which microscopic things gather, communicate, eat, procreate and live out their short lives, probably as unaware of us as we are of them.
Body to Bodies is an performance and installation series that makes the invisible visible over the course of 5 weeks. Venturing down to microscopic levels to reveal the myriad of lives living symbiotically among us. Exposing these worlds, and the impact humans have on them, reconfigures how we understand the relationship between human and non-human. Drawing attention to our problematic human-centric way of looking at and interacting with the world.
