Barcelona, la Rosa de Foc starts with a question: what is a city?
A question that Woody Allen asks us, in the version of the film narrated in English.
The narrator takes us by the hand to enter this trip proposed by MEDIAPRO, the director Manuel Huerga and the writer Lluís Arcarazo accompanied by the music of Micka Luna.
A trip that will take us to discover or rediscover Barcelona as we have never seen it, with the most advanced technology.
Because, what is a city? What is Barcelona like?, a city that in the 19th century they called the Rose of Fire because, according to Engels, no city in the world had had so many barricade fighting?
Barcelona, la Rosa de Foc portrays many of the faces of this polyhedron that it has become, due to its history and the future of its citizens, who are the protagonists of the life of Barcelona.
Through Naoko, Elna, Pere, Mireia, Eric, Oriol, Pau, Khalil or Lola we walk the streets, squares, bars and markets of a city that is presented to us “conventional and transgressive, exquisite and brazen, elegant and scoundrel”.
