Barbara McGrady photo exhibition

Cultural and community photographic exhibition

Barbara McGrady is a Gamilaroi Murri Yinah woman from northwestern NSW and southern Queensland.

A Sydney-based photographer, she captures the passion and achievements of Aboriginal histories. Barbara describes herself as an observer and a protagonist, a documentarian of
historical events that are important to Aboriginal peoples and cultures.

The 2018 NAIDOC theme ‘Because of her, we can!’ is a reflection of all the strong, inspiring Indigenous women that have gone before us, are here now and will follow in the future.

The exhibition will begin after the NAIDOC flag raising ceremony.

Barbara McGrady’s sports photography will also be displayed digitally in the KGV Recreation Centre.

Barbara is an avid sports fan and has documented major and local sporting events for over a decade.
