Bach at The Calyx: Josinaldo Costa

When

Sunday 12 September from 2pm to 3pm

Bach at the Calyx is a series of 4 free and interactive Sunday afternoon classical music concerts. The perfect pairing of J.S. Bach and other masterworks in the verdant surrounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens. Join us every second Sunday in May, June, July, and August to explore a world of musical treasures and floral blooms starring artists from Australia's leading classical ensembles.

These matinee concerts are family friendly and have a 40 minute running time.

Josinaldo Costa (The Sydney Bach Society)

Dr Josinaldo Costa is a highly sought after performer, academic, and pedagogue. Equally at home performing both early music and contemporary classical works, his artistic practice is informed by a passion for meticulous scholarship.

A founding member and co-director of The Sydney Bach Society (Sydney) and The Ritsos Project (Greece), Dr Costa has featured as a performer in concert series such as the Virtuosi na Serra, ViolaoPE, AV-Rio (Brazil), Guitar Fort Worth (USA), and the Karlovac Summer Guitar Festival (Croatia).
