Auslan poetry slam

Watch or perform Auslan-inclusive poetry

Produced by the City of Sydney

Would you like to watch or perform Auslan-inclusive poetry? Are you keen to learn about Deaf arts and Auslan?

Experience the power of the medium as 4 professional Auslan poets perform.

Then offer your support to new performers as audience members take to the stage, including participants from the Auslan-inclusive poetry workshop.

Everyone is welcome to join the audience for the showcase. The artists performing at this event prefer not to have their performances interpreted into English so their artistic intent remains true. There will be interpreters at the event to support general communication such as the MC interviewing the artists but performances will not be interpreted into English.

All events are free to attend or perform at the workshop and showcase. Bookings are recommended as places are limited.

Suitable for ages 16 years and over.
