Arts Marketing with Laura Milke-Garner (MILKE)

In this workshop we will crack open the door into the basics of Arts Marketing. This session is designed for artists across all disciplines who self-produce their work and its presentation, and for independent producers and curators who produce work for others.

Whether you have a show coming up or you want to up your game in marketing yourself to an online audience, this workshop will cover the basics of what you need to be doing to get the most out of your marketing.

• What artists need to be doing in 2021 to nail their marketing

• What you need and how to build your marketing assets

• Social Media tips and tricks. 

• Video marketing techniques

Laura will deliver her Artist-2-Artist session via an on-demand video, a Zoom Q&A and a Marketing Template.

The video will be available on 23 February. It will cover the bulk of the content and be available on-demand for 2 weeks. You will receive a link via email closer to the date.

Following the video release meet up with Laura and other participating artists for a Zoom Q&A on 2 March @ 6 pm-7 pm. Laura will be available for questions and share even MORE Marketing genius with you live. She's a powerhouse of information so get ready with questions!

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Laura Milke-Garner (MILKE) is an award-winning producer, mentor and active advocate for the arts in Australia. She has been producing events, shows and touring productions for over 20 years. In 2008, she established her own company MILKE to help artists produce their work, while also providing 1:1 mentorship, workshops and online courses for artists and producers looking to develop their artistic careers.

MILKE has creatively developed and produced work for Sydney Opera House, Sydney Festival, Arts Centre Melbourne, Darwin Festival, Brisbane Festival, Brisbane Power House, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Laura is a proud Board Member of Perth International Cabaret Festival and Golden Gibbo Award (Melbourne International Comedy Festival). She’s a regular host and facilitator for arts organisations across Australia and has a previous career as a Radio Broadcaster in commercial and public radio. She currently produces her own podcast called Run The Show, interviewing producers, artists, and other creative practitioners about the their work, with a focus on the business that takes place behind-the-scenes in Australia’s creative industries.
