Join Wayde for a creative and uplifting tote bag painting session where you can choose your own theme Culture, Flowers, or Healing Creativity.  A creative workshop for autistic, neurodivergent, disabled and CALD LGBTQIA+SB young people

Wayde is a proud Wiradjuri/Birpai man, also known as Aléjandro , a queer, Aboriginal artist and qualified art therapist dedicated to empowering others through creativity. His work is deeply influenced by his experiences as a gay person of colour in Australia, and he uses art to spotlight social issues, challenge perceptions, and celebrate cultural identity.

Each workshop offers a unique experience: connect with culture through meaningful symbols, explore the beauty of nature through vibrant blooms, or tap into art as a form of mindfulness and self-expression.

Walk away with a one-of-a-kind tote or canvas and a heart full of colour.

Access information:

The venue has automatic door entry, level access, and air-conditioning. Accessible toilets are located nearby, and the space is wheelchair accessible. We aim to create a relaxed, sensory-aware environment. Lighting is soft and not harsh, and you are welcome to move around, take breaks, or step outside at any time. There is no pressure to talk, share, or complete anything — you can participate in whatever way feels right for you. Support people are welcome to attend. If there is anything that would help you feel more comfortable, please let us know.
