Art Somewhere: Animation Anywhere!

Art Somewhere is back, this time the somewhere is your place!

Make your art move! Using your phone’s camera we’ll create super easy stop motion animations from things laying around your house. Suitable for absolute beginners wanting to learn the basics of animation, to senior creatives looking to discover new techniques.

Hayley Dinnison is an Illustrator, 2D Animator and Motion Designer. She has been working creatively with moving pictures for over a decade. When she is not breathing motion into art, she lectures Motion Design at JMC Academy.

Materials List

Required:

• A phone or tablet with a camera (Apple or Android)

• The free app “Stop Motion Studio”

• Something to hold your phone up (a tripod, or a stack of books)

• Bluetack

• An evenly lit flat surface

Suggested:

• Coloured paper

• Scissors or a cutting blade
