Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the pool…

Golden Age Cinema & Bar takes you into the depths of the Andrew (Boy) Charlton pool for a thrilling harbour-side screening of Jaws.

When Jaws premiered in 1975 it ushered in a new era of Hollywood blockbusters, but the misunderstood shark suffered some serious negative PR. Fortunately, we’ve come a long way since then to better understand our relationship with the ocean and all that lurks beneath. The Deep End is a night that will stir fear and fun while dispelling myths of a world we know so little about. During the evening, enjoy delicious seafood, ocean-inspired drinks, and hear special guests describe their experiences with the big blue. You won’t need a bigger boat, because there’ll be floating or ‘beach-side’ seating to sit back and watch Jaws, the ultimate outdoor fun summer classic (that’s still surprisingly scary!).

Perched between the sparkling Woolloomooloo Bay and the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool is a Sydney icon, making it the perfect setting for The Deep End, especially during our summer season.

Golden Age Cinema & Bar has captured the imagination of a discerning Sydney audience with its progressive program of cults, classics, creepies, cheapies and the best new releases. Art & About is excited to partner with them to deliver site-specific cinema events across our 2015/16 calendar.

The Deep End is an outdoor cinema “screaming” that’s perfect for Sydney in summer. All together now: “You’re going to need a bigger boat.”

Tickets to this event are SOLD OUT.
