Archaeology and the collection of antiquities from the ancient Middle Eastern world was one of the colonial legacy of European intervention in the region in the 19th and 20th centuries and is referenced by numerous artists in the Biennale.

In this wide-ranging panel discussion for the Biennale of Sydney, and co-presented by the Near Eastern Archaeology Foundation (NEAF) experts discuss the legacy of colonialism on archaeology and art in the region and of that impact in the 21st century.
