5 of Australia’s finest writers reunite to ask if Australia really does sing with one voice

A funny and ferocious portrait of a country searching for harmony and a hopeful vision of the future.

21 years ago, 5 writers created Who’s Afraid of the Working Class?, a powerful, critically-acclaimed portrait of Australia in the Howard era.

Anthem reunites writers Andrew Bovell, Patricia Cornelius, Melissa Reeves and Christos Tsiolkas with composer Irine Vela to take the national pulse once more.

Booking fees apply to all SydFest ticket purchases.
