In 2022, the theme of Reconciliation Week is ‘Be Brave. Make Change’.
Friday 3 June, 10:30 am.
Rhys Paddick is the co-founder of Acknowledge This! His work builds on his experience as an Aboriginal educator to facilitate robust and genuine conversations amongst friends, strangers, and everyone in between — to bring them along on the journey of change.
Join Rhys as he walks through his personal journey, explaining how we can use our good intentions to integrate modern and traditional cultures to create a third culture: people culture.
Rhys will address some basics in Aboriginal cultural awareness and seed ideas for cultural application, including how to give an authentic Acknowledgement of Country.
Participants will move forward feeling empowered with new knowledge and connections to each other, encouraging ongoing conversations, awareness and change.
National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May — 3 June. This year's theme, “Be Brave. Make Change.” is a challenge to all Australians to tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation, beginning with actions in our daily lives — where we live, work, play and socialise.
