A Very Furry Christmas

Alexandria Vets doggy get together raising money for Fetching Dogs

Attention animal lovers!

Alexandria Veterinary Hospital is holding its annual community doggy celebration at Alexandria Dog Park. This event aims to raise money and awareness for a very worthy charity, Fetching Dogs, who finds forever homes for very needy dogs. This charity rescues dogs from the pound, provides all necessary veterinary care and then fosters and rehomes the pet into a new loving home.

The event also aims to bring the dog owning community together to have fun with their pups in the park and meet other dog owners in the community. Doggy dress-ups are encouraged as we have a red carpet and dress up competition for your pup to strut their stuff!

“A very furry Christmas is all about the community coming together and celebrating their love of their dogs.” said Dr Tennille Bignell, a senior vet at the hospital. “Of course you don’t have to own a dog to come along and join in the fun. It’ll be great to see pooches in touch with their inner fashion model and getting their diva on. We love to see how creative owners can be with the idea.”

There will be professional pet Santa photos by Fuzzy Beast Studios, a sausage sizzle, raffles, free mini-dog behaviour consults, an incredible dog duo talent show by the Instagram famous border collies Holly and Ace. Also lots of great prizes for the best dressed, the oldest dog, cutest puppy, waggiest tail, best trick and competitions between owner and man’s best friend.

Saturday 19 November 2016 from 4pm to 6.30pm
