This September join flautist Chloe for a cross-cultural musical journey as she shares various favourite flute songs and pieces from her childhood and growing up, from classical music training to studying dizi (Chinese bamboo flute) with master players in China and Australia.

Presented by Mini Musica, family friendly morning music concerts for 0-6 year olds and their grown-ups. The performance length is approximately 40 minutes to suit young families. As a guide, you can expect a 30-minute themed concert followed by a 10-minute interactive, especially for our younger audience members. You’re always welcome to sit back and enjoy or get up and participate in a singalong of childhood favourites, dance a jig or flamenco – whatever is the flavour of the day!

Chloe Chung is a multi-style flautist (Western flutes/dizi), collaborating with others to foster unexpected musical forms and connections on Gadigal land, Sydney, and beyond. She is the Artistic Director of Dreambox Collective, a diverse Sydney based group of performer-composers, improvisors and visual artists producing works and facilitating performances to create meaningful connections for positive social impact.

Chloe is a casual lecturer at the Australian Institute of Music, at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Chinese Music Ensemble and a regular visiting Alexander Technique teacher for various schools, institutions and creative communities. She hosts a weekly live and online “Living Room Workshop” series from her home studio; an ongoing gathering and offering of tools, games and practices for participants to fulfil their varied artistic and movement goals with greater freedom, ease and kindness.

A standard ticket admits one adult and up to two children under the age of 6 years. Family tickets are available for a party of six, including two adults and four children 6 years and younger. Receive 20% off your first concert ticket - discount code SPRINGAWAKE
