Writing for children is big business. Despite the oft forecast demise of reading, demand for quality children’s books is strong and there has been significant growth in this market over the past few years.

If you’re keen to write stories that will keep children reading under the covers after lights out, if you’re interested to know more about the puzzling business of publishing, or if you harbour dreams of being the next Sally Rippin or Andy Griffiths, this online course with Jacqueline Harvey is for you.

Jacqueline Harvey is one of Australia’s bestselling authors for children with 58 books published to date. Her Alice-MirandaClementine RoseKensy and Max and Willa and Woof series are nearing two million sales and have attracted numerous shortlistings and awards while her first picture book, The Sound of the Sea was an Honour Book in the 2006 Children’s Book Council Awards. She has recently published two new picture books, That Cat and The Daring Tale of Gloria the Great, with one of her former students, Kate Isobel Scott.
