Groundwork, curators of Tiny Stadiums 2012, in conversation with festival artists.
In the lead up to Tiny Stadiums Festival 2012, Groundwork will lead discussions with festival artists on the importance of site-specific, socially engaged, and interdisciplinary art.
Tiny Stadiums is a unique festival that involves the local community, and commissions emerging artists to create works throughout the public spaces of this inner west suburb. As part of the festival The Live Art Weekend program presents contemporary art that responds to the geographies and histories of Erskineville.
In curating the 2012 festival, Groundwork are responding to the idea of Center/Margins, with a focus on place, site and access, and to shift the way that residents interact with public space.
