These summer school holidays, Sydney Aquarium is expanding its aquatic family by welcoming critically endangered Small-Tooth Sawfish. Measuring over 1.5 metres in length, the Sawfish are a sight to be seen with their long saw-like rostrum (nose), which has evolved to expertly forage for food under the sandy ocean floor. Check out the two Sawfish being fed, interacting with the other marine life and swimming around in their new habitat this summer. Also not to be missed are the Japanese Spider Crabs with their long spindly legs that can span up to 3.8 metres! As new residents of Sydney Aquarium, they have taken centre stage at the newly launched CLAWS exhibit alongside other crustaceans of the deep.
