For a more relaxed environment, bring a picnic rug and the family and join in the festive celebrations at Christmas on the Green in Hyde Park North.
Christmas on the Green is a popular alternative event for those who prefer to enjoy some of the festivities of the Martin Place concert relaxing in the leafy surrounds of Hyde Park. Featuring live performances from MC Justine Clarke and her band, carols from the Sydney Philharmonia VOX Choir, and put on those blue suede shoes for Swing Patrol performing swing lessons live on stage and much, much more!
Plus there’ll be a special surprise guest the children will love!
Santa comes to Hyde Park with Lord Mayor Clover Moore in his sleigh and later that evening the lucky winner of the ‘Christmas colouring-in Competition’ will join Justine Clarke on stage to help light the Christmas tree.
This year, City of Sydney welcomes our new Christmas Charity Partner, The Australian Children’s Music Foundation. Volunteers will be at all City of Sydney concerts and we hope you can support them to provide a better future for our children.
So bring your family and friends, relax and be entertained by some of our best performers live on stage.
Make sure you also check out the much-loved Christmas projections on Sydney Town Hall every night from 24 November to 25 December, 8.30pm til late.
