Sydney Writers’ Festival is one of the world’s largest celebrations of literature and ideas. You can attend any of over 300 events (more than half are free) in scores of venues across Sydney, from the Festival hub at Walsh Bay to Blue Mountains. We have the finest literary writing at our core, bringing together authors of the very best contemporary fiction and cutting edge nonfiction, leading public intellectuals, scientists and journalists. Our programming is driven by ideas and issues that animate all forms of writing.
